New York: Smart Contracts can enable the government of UAE to create contracts between employers, employees, and the government, says Muhammad Salman Anjum Chief Mate of InvoiceMate and Head of BSV Hub for MENA & South Asia. Salman was having the panel discussion ‘Government & Public Sector Applications on Blockchain’ on the eve of CoinGeek New York 2021 (Sheraton NY Times Square Oct 5-7, 2021). The discussion was moderated by Jimmy Nguyen – Founding President, Bitcoin Association. The other participants included Saeed Mohammed Ali Alhebsi – Advisor in AI & Sr. Project Mngr, UAE Ministry, of HR & Emiratisation, Mohammed Ibrahim Jega – Co-Founder, Dominuem Blockchain Solutions Ltd., and Ahmed Yousif – Middle East Lead, BSV Blockchain for Government Initiative. Salman also highlighted the progress in various public sector projects involving blockchain including the University of Sharjah and Sindh Police. The participants discussed the different use cases of blockchain in the public sector with a primary focus on the MENA region.

The conference was hosted by Jimmy Nguyen, Founding President of the Bitcoin Association. More than 100 speakers from around the globe took the stage during this 3-days event. The conference was attended by more the 600 attendees in person and was attended online by 8000+ people.
